Trailer Safety through Training and Education with UK Rural Skills Accredited courses

Welcome to the website of Mark Skinner CAT AMIMI Trailers Training & Compliance.

About us, I am a time served mechanical engineer and completed a fully indentured apprenticeship with CAV Lucas back in the late seventies and early eighties. Over the last four decades I have had several business’s including light haulage, motor vehicle repair and maintenance and specialist vehicle and trailer conversions, I’ve worked in the motor trade at main agents, repairing cars, vans, commercial vehicle, bus and coaches, and trailers.
The trailer work covered all kinds of road towable equipment from goods trailers and transporters to chippers, compressors and lighting towers. I introduced a maintenance and servicing programme for a national plant hire company to ensure trailers were kept legal at all times they were being used on the public highway. This gives piece of mind when stopped by the police or the DVSA. The training is split into theory and practical assessments on purpose bit training equipment.
For the last 30 years I have had apprentices under my wing to train and coach to enable them to gain their qualifications. More recently I have been training and coaching engineers on trailers as and addition to their existing skills.
Trailer compliance covers things like loading and unloading, load security, winching, tachographs and operators licence's
